Huge cap relief, the SF that can actually play SF for the playoffs, and a chance to let some young guys get some minutes, without sacrificing to much, Starting lineup gets some much needed veteran presence, without too much being placed on his plate, Johnson that is. Everyone could learn from his unselfishness, and then there's the experience factor for the playoffs. Not to mention the huge cap relief with the mistake of ross's contract, and Carroll's , all the while BKN gets some young guys who have already been playing together to at least fill their already terrible roster. Whether they would commit to the money is another aspect, but it's not like there taking on horrible players in return. Phi is doing a great job at showing everyone you cant draft a winning team in 3 years, you need to trade and solidify then get the extra pieces when they arise.
