The thing we also forget too (myself included) is that plenty teams go iso down the stretch of close games. Indiana was doing a lot of ISO as well. Because we are a fan of the Raptors we focus on their faults but other teams do the same thing

And it's not pure iso btw, we're still using screens to free up guys so it's more like pick and roll. But most teams put the ball in the hands of their best players down the stretch of games.

Like you said in your other post, the defense is really critical. You need to get stops to buffer the potential inefficiency or unpredictability of late game offense or you're cooked.

Exactly. Golden State actually does it a lot. Curry and Klay can just hit any shot on the court. And they have such quick releases that you ain't even thinking about getting a hand up in time. Not trying to make excuses though because we do have to do a better job at cutting down the iso at least. But defense is where we have to hang out hat because we WILL go iso, that's a given. At least we have proven we can be a good defensive team when we focus so I rather rely on us stepping that up in the playoffs than us moving the ball more because our history proves otherwise.
