I think the max is 47 only on every dollar you make over 250k... besides there are ways to hide your money.... you could get paid as a contractor and own your own company...(13-15% tax rate) potentially you get paid wherey ou work. so you only pay the rate you make in Canada when you work in Canada. It depends on your primary residence... etc...

I think he might be referring to if you take $1 cdn and then apply tax, and then convert it to usd, it might come out to $0.55

You get taxed on where you earn the income so about half of the raptor player's income will be taxed at the Canadian tax rate, which is about 50% for all income over 200k.
