  • Fall 2010

Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be launching Yahoo based NFL, NBA and NHL leagues in the fall. I want the NBA league to be a keeper but we'll see how what the interest level is leading up to draft day. Season one of a keeper league is pretty much like not being in a keeper league at all. All the added rules and what not really start in the off-season.

Phew ... I thought when you said 2011 we were going to have to wait another year and a half before the fantasy leagues.

All I've got to say about Fantasy Leagues next season is this:

RR 10-Team NBA Fantasy Buy-in Money League.

I'm definitely down. I finally won this season after a bunch of 3rd place finishes. Money down always makes it more interesting anyways.

Makes fantasty pools entertaining too. Not to mention a little more engaging where alot of people lose interest and fade off half way through most seasons.

But I don't think Apollo is looking to arrange money pools. That's something we can organize ourselves if he isn't interested in doing so.

                  I'll commish the money league!

I've been in one of the past two years. I actually came in 2nd place this season and won $125. (I lost in the finals by just 0.01% in the A/T category.).

Sweet ... I've won a few myself. Mostly NFL and NHL leagues, but never an NBA one. But there's always a first.

I deal with enough money in my day job. I'll take a pass on that one and stick to the keeper. I do, however, was a spot in the league.

Sign me up! How much is the buy in typically? $20?

I'm a rookie to "high stakes" basketball too.

The buy-in for the money league will be $50. Limit 10 teams.

The $500 money pool will be divided acccordingly:

                        10% ($50) - Regular season winner
                        10% ($50) - 3rd Place
                        25% ($125) - 2nd Place
                        55% ($275) - 1st Place
