Nope, Nash is too old and Iggy is ego maniac.
Both of them are not worth the trouble, less four players.
The move of getting Nash would be awesome for Canada, "MVP squared" would give Raptors a nice boost off the court and on the court. However, I'm split on the idea of Nash actually playing for the Raptors, here's why:
Pros:
-Raps need a pg who can create for himself and others, one that can consistently get into the lane and find the open man, and Nash is one of the best at doing that.
-His attitude/ toughness (remember the broke nose in the playoff...) should affect the raptors locker room in a positive manner, he would provide great leadership that they sorely needed.
-He's MVP x2, and He's Canadian.
Cons:
-Assuming Bosh doesn't resign, the rebuilding of the raptors begins the day Bosh signs with another team.
Bringing Nash in at the age 36, would that help our youth movement ? Would Nash be happy going from advancing deep into the playoff to barely making the playoff?
-Raptors main emphasis is to get defensive this off-season, and lock-down defender Nash is not.
-Phoenix's staff works magic with their players, somehow they kept Nash in fantastic shape, same with Grant Hill. They even manage to get the aging Shaq in shape while he played for them (as soon as Shaq went to Clevleland, he's out of shape and broke down), there's no saying what kind of shape Nash would be in without the magical phoenix staff.
-Getting Nash at 36 is similar to the Celtics nabbing KG when he was turning 30+, you know he might have only 1 or 2 productive season left, before injuries and old age make him into an liability.
If we have a chance to get Nash we should. That would completely re-energize the franchise.
