He's no where near the level of Jose Calderon...

Bobcats sign Shaun Livingston for 7 mil over 2 years

Isnt this funny. Charlotte trades Chandler for a bunch of spare parts and then pays a broken Shaun Livingston 3.5 mil a year. And they could have had a starting PG in Calderon. I think MJ has no clue of what hes doing.

The Bobcats were appearing likely to trade Chandler and Boris Diaw to the Raptors for Jose Calderon and Reggie Evans, but again went with this trade of pure spare parts. Charlotte receives some savings in the first year, but they weren't over the luxury tax, so it is difficult to understand the impetus.

We'll see what the Bobcats ultimately do with EDNGC [dampiers expiring contract], but the early reports are that they will run out the clock on it and take the financial savings. Charlotte can of course use it as a trade chip, but I expect frugality to win out even if a reunion of Baron Davis with both the city and Stephen Jackson would be fascinating.

      Grade for Bobcats: C+

He also doesn't cost them 10 million a year.

Livingston is a very talented kid. He's only 25 and hasn't played much in recent years after his terrible leg injury. He looked great at the end of last season though.
