Past performance is the best predictor of future performance. Bosh will wear down as the season goes on and will have nothing left in the tank come playoff time. (Unless of course he can conserve better during the season as he has 2 better teammates than he has had in the past.) Great teams (this is not - just 3 great players) have been assembled before but can they win with all the hype and pressure around them? Can Spoelestra manage the personalities? Should be interesting to watch.

I may be hoping for a miracle, but the rest of this lineup is not a slam dunk for the title.

You obviously like the rest of the Miami roster and I do not - lets see what happens!
Bosh will not be worn out from carrying a team all season long come playoff time so your whole argument is not tenable. He will be well rested from all the Heat blowouts not to mention he has a legit back up in Haslem & won't have to guard centers like in Toronto.

Spoelestra already has managed the personalities as the Big 3 accepted less money to play together not to mention that Haslem & Miller were college roommates. House played 3 years in Miami (2000-03). Jones is a low maintenance returning player. Ilgauskus is LBJ's buddy from Cleveland. Magloire & Anthony are both low maintenance Heat vets. Howard is a low maintenance vet- Fab 5 ya'll!!!! Arroyo is a returning Heat player. Chalmers is returning as well. Wade is the common denominator for the Heat.

    Miami's projected starters:

    C: Ilgauskus
    PF: Bosh
    SF: James
    SG: Wade
    PG: Chalmers

    Miami's projected bench:

    C: Anthony/Magloire/*Pittman
    PF: Haslem/Howard/#Randolph/*#Vanardo
    SF: Jones/*#Butler
    SG: Miller/#Hasbrouck
    PG: Arroyo/House/#Beverley

    *rookie
    #non guaranteed contract

Miami has the deepest NBA bench currently with experienced vets at every position- what more do you want?

    Let's just wait & see what happens........lol

"JO's 2010 expiring contract gave Riley most of the cap space to go after Bosh & LBJ. Not to mention that Riley received a #1 draft pick from TO then traded back the rights to that very same pick to BC as part of the Bosh S&T deal plus Riley got rid of Bank's contract in the JO deal- a contract that BC is still trying to move in deals."

Sirchilly, lebron, wade and bosh would have never came to Toronto so it doesn't matter if riley used JO's contract to sign those guys. Secondly that is after the fact. Marcus Banks and hedo/shawn actually have better stats then JO and made less. So besides what happened after JO and Hedo/Marion left doesn't count for the trade.
Turk I agree with you that management babied Turk and that was a BIG mistake. Turk should have had no special treatment. But if their was someone who deserved special treatment it was Turk. He is a 10 year vet and just finished playing finals and the world championships in the same summer.
Finally if your not a raptors fan why would you post on raptors chat board? Yes I blindly cheer for the Raptors no matter who is on the team because this is my home and I support my hometown team. In the 80's and early 90's I was a celtic fan and gave them up to be a raptors fan because I could watch most of the games not 3-4 a year. Turks still an idiot

Sounds like a frontline to match the lakers/celtics. The Bench is crap too the raptors have a better bench then your heat. So step up or step out

          Lakers frontline
          Gasol-65 37.0 452-844 .536 0-5 .000 286-362 .790 3.7 7.6 11.3 .57 1.74 2.20 2.34 3.4 18.3

Gasol almost averaged the same number of blocks as ilg. and bosh. Then you can bring in the undersized 5 in Anthony to matcup against the two 7 footers. Magloire is a bum now. So basically have Bosh and Anthony as the only guys quick enough to match up with Gasol/bynum. Your heat are in trouble and don't even match up well against the bigs of Celtics/magic.

We'll see how they play when the time comes until then it's all speculation. Only stats I care about are Ws & Ls.

Did I say that the Heat were my favorite team? No. Fyi my favorite teams are the Boston Celtics followed by the Seattle Supersonics (fu*k Oklahoma City!!!) & the Toronto Raptors. If you choose to blindly support the Raptor's then that's on you- to each their own.

Celtics, if they sign Shaq, will have the best team in the East followed by Miami & Orlando. Miami has work to do but it will be fun watching them play.

It's not a given that Big Z starts. It's all good as LBJ & Wade both get their share of blocks from the 2 & 3 positions. Magloire and Anthony are both active on defense they just don't give up lay ups- they contest, alter & block shots as well when in the game. Time will tell how good Miami is but I still have Boston ahead of them in the East- especially if Rasheed Wallace comes back as rumored via Shaq aka The Big Gossip.

Btw comparing the Rap's bench to the Heat's and claiming the former is better- str8 up facetious balderdash, kiddo.
