I know all about his scoring. Let's see him rebound like that back here.

Logically, Bargnani is the odd man out. He doesn't fit in with the new defensive theme, he's moving to a position that already is well looked after, he's fallen out of favour with the fans, and he's shown almost no improvement in important areas year after year. Whether Colangelo does the logical thing, no one knows, but from his remarks it's clear even Colangelo is getting fed up with Bargnani. I know a lot of people feel that Colangelo will NEVER trade him, but I highly doubt he's going to stake his job on Bargnani, and that's essentially what he would be doing.

I will first admit that I haven't watched him play this summer, but from what I've read the effort is still not very consistent.
As for what you said earlier about people not appreciating his scoring as much as they should, I disagree. The problem is that there's nothing else to his game, so his scoring ends up not mattering as much. Look at Corey Maggette or Al Harrington. Both very good scorers, but they bounce around from team to team because that's ALL they do.

Indeed, I've also heard the effort is inconsistent, but still .. fluctuating between Medium Effort to High Effort is better than Low Effort and Medium. haha
And I also agree that his 1-Dimensional play does tend to desensitize us to that 1-Dimension that he offers.
I was simply pointing out that averaging 22pts in the Tourney is quite impressive.
We as Raptors fans just don't find it AS impressive, because we've always been aware of his scoring ability, and have almost grown SICK of always hearing about his scoring. Thus, we don't appreciate it as much as others in the basketball world might.

It had over 50 likes, maybe Bargnani was one of them, hehehe.
Im not defending Bargnani here, and id be really happy if the Raptors trade him, but i find it utterly amusing that a newbie comes in here and starts pointing out how Bargnani is performing at Eurobasket, how good he's scoring, how slim he is, how agile he is, but the same people jump in and points out how he's being a tease, points out his rebounding, defense when its already been sooooooooooooooo played out, saying over the same things, over and over, and over and over......
Tim W. once said - insanity is the result of repetition. go figure.
hahaha sorry bout the rant
long day at work
both kids sick
wife slept early
hehehe
Ive thought about that.
But i go into this thread with the hope that id be able to read something new and interesting about people's thoughts on Bargnani. Unfortunately, some are more repetitive than others. And the unavoidable thing is, to get to the interesting ones, you have to go through the same stuff discussed over and over and over again.
I think i commented on one of Tim's comments, when he kind built up Bargnani on how he wants him not to be a great rebounder, but rather a consistent one. And how he doesnt expect Bargnani to be a great defender, but rather a decent one. And then he says, but i dont think he'll ever be able to be consistent or decent. so i said, wow, you extend your hand in friendship and then kick sand on his face. started interesting then back to the usual.
Doesnt really matter if they stop or not, i cant control what people say. im just putting it out there that its a played out discussion.
