I'd take this report with a huge grain of salt. Raps have the best reason inthe world to use preventative medicine: guaranteed contracts. I can't believe they'd push him to play after the million medicals they put every guy through. I mean how many of you get xrays and MRIs for ankle sprains?
Euro League reports love to paint NBA like the bad guys, meanwhile they welch on owed money left and right, drop injured players at the drop of a hat and still manage to put out a third rate product.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that when a Raptor gets injured that we don't use generic physio therapists/dr.'s etc. This has nothing to do with Canada's health care system and this whole story looks to be complete BS.

I will only say doctors get paid much more money, however, in places that are inaccessible like Yukon and Nunavut up North or cold and frigid Northern Ontario but at the expense of free vacations and family life coupled with a huge demand from the resident's populace as the only one or few resident physicians(place for a young doctor to cut his teeth in the profession though).
"Nuff of the Economics lecture, back to sports which we are here for.
