He certainly fills a position of need at the SF. Hopefully he gets more of a shake than he did in CHI.

Great move for what we give up. He better be starting over Weems.

It doesn't say first round, just says draft pick.

                Miami's pick.
Considering he was projected as going as high as 8th a couple years ago, thats a good trade still.

Don't forget he came out of Wake Forest, first round selections from Wake are usually at least decent.

Oh, missed that sorry. But the pick is quite late I think. Still a good trade.

                      • He is on his rookie contract for 2 more seasons - $1.8M next year and $2.8M 2012-2013.

I liked the trade better when supposedly for a future 2nd round pick.

He just turned 24 on Sunday - 2 days ago.

Man, already 24... But he still brings size and defense...

                            • Well, he's not Sonny Weems, so that's good news. Also, I think this speaks volumes about the Raps view of the draft this year.

I seem to recall that Colangelo was fairly high on this guy leading up to this draft and that they likely would have taken him if they had been drafting in the teens.

I don't remember the exact projection but I do recall the Raps working him out. I thought I've also read over the last 2 seasons BC/Raps had interest in him. When given minutes in Chicago he certainly came up with steals in limited minutes, looking through his game log.
