I can name at least 15 good C's. I can't do that with SG's at all.

Here's my 15, in no particular order:

    Drummond
    Cousins
    Vucevic
    Gasol
    Noah
    Gobert
    Whiteside
    Lopez
    Horford
    Davis
    Mozgov
    Valanciunas
    Freeland
    Howard
    Bogut

That's quite a nice list, IMO.
There's no reason Freeland should be on that list. he'll be lucky to stick in the NBA. And Davis is not going to be a full time C.

Still, there are guys like Towns and Okafor. There's the other Lopez. There's Gortat. And probably a few more guys I'm forgetting. C position is making a resurgence compared to the 2000s, where there was maybe a handful of decent Cs.

    • SG is far weaker than C. One could argue that even PF is weaker than C, in terms of elite talent (league is loaded with decent PF's).

Freeland is Portland best option at C IMO. he was very helpful to that team last year. No stat stuffer, but little things that make him a menace... plus, good advanced stats.

Until then, opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one and they most often stink

I'd say PF is second weakest now. Fairly deep, but other than Davis, most of the elite players are declining. It was super deep and strong til the last couple of years.

          • Looks like we're back in business. To stay on this topic, would you rather have a very good player at a position with great talent depth or at a position with poor talent depth? On one hand you need don't want to get destroyed at the strong position, but doing damage at the weak position should give you a competitive advantage.

            Thanks mods! Go Raptors!

              • Above average C
                Dwight
                Cousins
                Marc Gasol
                Horford

Every one else has proven to be a capable starter

                • Anyone remember when Elden Cambell and Eric Dampier were arguably top 5 centres?

                    Cousins

                    Gasol
                    Noah
                    Gobert
                    Whiteside
                    Lopez
                    Horford
                    Davis
                    Mozgov

                    Howard
                    Bogut

                    (List from above minus Freeland)

Plus Duncan, Okafor, Towns, Pekovic, Chandler, Noel, Asik, and quite a few more. Definitely an underrated position, as we have quite the crop now.

                      • 10 of the top 30 players in PER last year were C's. 4 were SG's (if you count Butler as a SG).

                              for me it goes

                              PG - SF - C - PF - SG
