Who are the patsies he speaks of?
    Advanced stats users

Context (advanced stats) is for patsies (scapegoat-ers)

You are not an advanced stat person, and generally have a blatant disregard for them

Basically he's being self-deprecating. All in the cause for DeMar, Chr1s1anL!

            • Does anyone else see more value in demars inefficient ways after watching Lebron in the first 3 games of the finals? His aggressiveness in looking to score the ball and create shots makes things much easier for the rest of the team who can't create consistently, and still manages to contribute to winning basketball though his own numbers look bad. Demar needs to stay, Kyle needs to go

                No.

                You are wrong.

Demar is more JR smith, and has no common traits with Lebron.

LeBron is inefficient because he's being forced to do everything on his own. Not only is it GSW's defensive strategy, it's also an unfortunate necessity since no other player on their team (with Irving/Love injured and JR Smith playing like total shit) can create any offence.

DeMar isn't forced into playing a style that leads to inefficiency, it's how he chooses to play. DeMar should be a guy who fits somewhere between a Rip Hamilton and an Iggy. Instead he tries to imitate Kobe and the coach lets him, which is just a recipe for disaster.

That's the issue I'm having now that it's starting to be brought up.

LeBron is literally being forced into this situation due to both circumstance and defensive game plan. And if anyone honestly doesn't think so; count the amount of double teams that have been sent his way in this series.

There's a huge difference between being forced to be inefficient and choosing to be inefficient.

Not to mention that it also ignores that the reason for the defensive strategy is because LeBron MAKES the other players around him better; not because he was/is already an inefficient shooter.

Forcing LBJ to be the primary scorer has been the strategy since his first time on the Cavs. Lebron isn't a great scorer relative to his other strengths

                      • LBJ is the greatest player of our generation, is putting up a usage rate of over 40%, and has comparable efficiency to DD had, and his team is terrible offensively - they are winning (barely) on defence. And even now the pass first Warriors are looking like they are going to win.

Even LBJ said he hated playing this way but was forced to because all their other options are out.

I disagree about the Lowry part but your right. The starters Lebron is playing with right now are comparable to our starters. Except for the backcourt.

                          • Ya if you are using the whole Cavs/finals thing to justify DD's existence as a top SG you will be sorely disappointed.

This is some ugly basketball, and GS is ice cold. If GS was shooting remotely decent on open looks they would be blowing the Cavs out by 30+ each game because so much ISO ball means that they just struggle scoring

Gotta give credit to Cleveland's D though. They're sticking to Thompson and Curry pretty well, and many of the open 3s are going to guys like Green, Iggy and Barnes. While they can all knock down shots, they're not snipers, and this is the Finals, so the pressure is probably getting to them a bit.
