Samuel Dalembert is a free agant this year do you guy`s think the raptors should go after him?

I think Leo is a tool but Dalembert's questionable character during his stint w/ team canada leads me to question whether he is worth it. As a backup C at a reasonable contract i'd think about it but I think that other teams would offer him more than i'd want to. If you think we should go after him what kind of contract would you offer? If I could get him at 3 yrs @ 4 mill i'd take it but i doubt it that'd work.

The Raps should be pursuing: Marc Gasol, Chandler and Dalembert in that order. Good centres are at a premium and will be difficult to nab but try we must and overpay for Gasol simply because he is the youngest and with an all-round game better than the others. But he is restricted and so the offer to him must be attractive and unpalatable for the Grizzlies to match.

I think they should go after him. He's the best realistic option. Chandler will re-sign in Dallas and Gasol, well, you know that the Grizzlies absolutely want to keep him, and I think they'll do so. As a backup center, Sam would be perfect.

TO all the people who think Dalembert would be a good idea, you do realize the guy is going to be 30 at the start of next season, right? The team isn't going to be be contending for anything anytime soon, so what exactly is the point if signing a guy who might make the team slightly better in the short term, when wins are probably the least thing they should worry about.

If the Raptors sign someone thing summer, they should be looking at two things. Could he be part of the long term solution of the team, and will his trade value go up, or at the very least, not go down. In both those cases, the answer is no with Dalembert.

Considering how much they're already paying out to Gay and what they'll be extending Randolph for, I wouldn't be surprised if they let Gasol go if the cost gets too high. Especially considering they are losing money hand over fist.

A league source cognizant of the Grizzlies' strategy said Memphis intends to "do what it takes" to retain Marc Gasol, a restricted free agent after the season. "He's the No. 1 priority," the source said.

I think Memphis is HOPING they don't lose him, and saying the right things might make teams think twice about offering him a contract, but I just have a hunch that if someone overpays Gasol, they won't match. They're struggling in attendance and losing money and will already have a couple of 8 figure contracts. Again, it's just a hunch.
