Pau Gasol, Pietrus, Gortat, Kirilenko, Turiaf, Darko, Ilyasova, Delfino, Batum, Splitter. All above average defenders. All from Europe, and that's just off the top of my head.

how do you rate above average defenders...only one of those guys made an all defensive team. the rest are shit defenders. they just play defence well enough that they are still considered an asset rather than 100% liability when there on the floor

Really? Are you really going there? In 28 years there have been 15 Defensive Player of the Year awards. There's really not been a whole lot of different players winning the award. Thabo Sefolosha made the All Defensive 2nd team last season. Andrei Kirilenko has made the first team once and second team twice.

Until Bill Russell was the player/coach for the Boston Celtics when they won the title in 1968, no black coach had ever won an NBA Championship. Would you have been on that end of the debate about whether or not a black person can be a successful NBA coach?
