i keep waiting for it to happen.... i download ALOT... but not even a warning letter... not sure if the methods i use are safer.. i pretty much only DL from a private torrent site and megaupload.... im not an I.T. person though... im not sure how them catching us works exactly... if they flag filenames... or certain sites.. or the file checksums..

I'm pretty positive that once it is finsihed downloading and you move the folder to an offline area and delete it as soon as you don't need it, you're fine.

Easiest way is to become a distro source (i.e. a seeder for torrents) so they can track IPs who download from them. If you run a whois on each seed for a torrent with a lot of seeders, chances are you'll find a ****load of govt or watchdog IPs
