    Back in the day when the Blue Jays were winning back-to-back championships - Toronto had no problem getting a ton of publicity and free agents flocked here.
    The Blue Jays also bought their teams year after year.... it doesn't seem like much compared to the Yankee and Boston now, but at the time they were one of (if not the) biggest spenders in the league. The NBA has a salary cap (even if its soft) that MLB doesn't.
