    20. Toronto Raptors : -2.9

The Raptors have been encouraged by their record and excellent play since the middle of December, encouraged enough to take the idea of trading Chris Bosh completely off the table.

Toronto doesn't risk a whole lot by keeping Bosh and playing out the season as a middle seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. They get that benefit, the solid opportunity to sign him to an extension, plus they could also do a sign-and-trade or have approximately $9M in cap space if he walks.
    RealGM.com

Pretty sure he's wrong about the cap space if Bosh walks. I had a numbe in my mind that was less than the MLE and of course by being under cap by any amount means the MLE and the BAE are off limits.

8 (7) Raptors 28-23 Since that 146-115 humbling in Atlanta on Dec. 2 and the team meeting that followed, Toronto is 21-10. Which almost -- almost -- atones for the 130 points allowed to Indy after we moved the Raps all the way to No. 7.

11 Raptors 14 (+3) 11/20 (28-23) With seven wins in eight games, the Raptors have seized hold of the No. 5 spot in the East. Moving up won't be easy, though, unless the Celtics, Magic or Hawks collapse.

    TEAM (LAST WEEK) REC. BREAKDOWN
    11 Toronto (13) 28-23 Pace: 95.8 (10), Off: 109.1 (2), Def: 109.5 (30)
Their defense provided a November flashback in a 130-115 loss in Indiana, but the Raptors have won seven of their last eight, shooting 51 percent in that stretch. With the teams behind them faltering, they have a strong hold on that fifth spot in the East.

10 Darn those home-and-homes: Streak ends at Indiana, but Toronto's climb up the standings continues nonetheless. ... Rumors now have Chris Bosh and LeBron teaming, but where?
    CBS Sports

I think the American media would have a mental breakdown if James ended up in Toronto. LOL

    11 Toronto Raptors (28-23)
Chris Bosh gets the headlines, but you can't overlook Andrea Bargnani's impact this season. The Raptors' fourth-year center is averaging career highs in points (17.7), rebounds (6.2), field-goal percentage (47.8) and minutes (34.4).

Bargnani is starting to get a little love. The Raef LaFrentz comparisons are officially shattered.

    11 Toronto Raptors
    Last Week: 11

    Toronto Raptors (31-24)
Remember when Jarrett Jack was listed among the most overpaid free-agent signees (at four years and $20 million)? Today, he looks like a bargain as a starting point guard. Jack had 18 points and 10 assists in a victory at New Jersey and followed it up a day later with 23 points and eight assists as the Raptors beat Washington for their second straight win without Chris Bosh (ankle). The Raptors are 22-11 in Jack's starts.

11 (10) Raptors 31-24 The Raps are 20-7 since their 11-17 start. They made it through the trade deadline having endured only minimal Bosh speculation. And they know Colangelo is staying as GM whether Bosh stays or not. Pretty good times.

    Pace: 95.7 (11), Off: 109.1 (2), Def: 108.8 (30)
With a home-heavy schedule, the Raps have won 10 of their last 12. They haven't faced a team with a winning record in almost a month, but will see four of them in the next eight days, a good test to really start the home stretch.

    11. Toronto (Last Week: 13)

The Raptors are hot right now, 8-2 in their last 10, and making a serious push towards the playoffs. It’s too bad Chris Bosh will be leaving in the offseason because it seems Toronto is remembering how to play basketball again.
    Bleacher Report

I seriously don't know how the media in the States is going to react when Bosh re-signs. I could see them dare to call Bosh a fool seeing how much many have investing the the "Bosh is leaving" crap. The only one who will look foolish is them though...

Funny how all those reporters who are close to the team game in game out have not said even a word remotely along the lines of "Bosh is leaving". It's always these guys who might write one article about the team the whole season.

Trade-deadline verdict: Winner. Holding on to Chris Bosh might turn out to be a mistake, but I like the message. Given recent occurrences on ice, basketball might be Canada's new national sport.

Toast of the town: Hedo Turkoglu responds well to benching, hits big 3 in critical win over Bobcats ... No shame in losing to Nuggets, Heat by total of four points.

    18. Toronto Raptors (36-37) ó Jose Calderon isnít quite qualified to crack this list yet, but check back in 2012 when heís making $10 million and he still canít guard a tire swing.

Default Apr 7/10 - CBS Sports: Hedo's fault if Raptors lose Bosh and miss the playoffs

    Strong words from CBS Sports:

17 MDP: Hedo Turkoglu. If the Raptors lose Chris Bosh to free agency this summer, they can thank Turkoglu. He'll be the man most responsible if the club misses the playoffs.

    No.

That will be all on Colangelo.

Its not Hedo job or Triano's job to convince Bosh to stay and resign with the team.

I was referring to them missing the playoffs. But that in turn, has an impact on him re-signing. The better they would have played this year, the more likely he would have been to re-sign.

18 2010-11 prediction: Fewer wins. Whether it's this week or next, Chris Bosh is gone. And so are the hopes the Raptors will be anything but a lottery club anytime soon.

19 (39-42) 2010-11 outlook: They still might back their way into the playoffs. If so, they'll get swept by the Cavs. Either way, if they lose Bosh, they'll be in the lottery next year.
