What is the price for keeping a player?

[Apollo]

Draft picks. Keep one player, you lose your 1st round pick. Keep two, you lose your first two picks in the draft. It continues on like that until you get to five. You can choose five, none or anywhere in between.

Hey Apollo, how about Brandon Lloyd for Frank Gore?

Not interested. That would essentially mean I'd have to use one of my five keepers for Brandon Lloyd. I don't trust he's going to repeat and I think Mike Wallace will be a better fantasy player this season... I'm not even sure I'm keeping Wallace yet.

Frank Gore is ranked a top 20 fantasy player. If he stays healthy all year he's going to be top ten easily.

Finley has my interest.

Nicks, Wayne, Finley, Rice are my surefire keepers. When did you want our final list?

Anybody want the top receiver(Brandon Lloyd) from last season for a nice RB?

I haven't set a deadline for keepers yet. We need the final three stragglers to register first. Invites are out *cough* Doc *cough*. The other two are DK and A00715890. Both haven't been around in a long time so if anyone is in touch with them... But I'm thinking if two other people step up then they can have the spots. I'm not sure if they're even still visiting this place.

Are you interested in dealing Finley? Gore is ranked 17th right now. I feel compelled to keep him even though I have Foster and Turner coming back for sure. He won't be on the board for you to draft.

This is a rough list, I might change it before the draft but it looks pretty solid. (I know I'm keeping 3RBs but that's because I'm going off value not need. I could always trade one of them)

Finley just barely squeaked into the top 50 of Yahoo's current fantasy player rankings.

I have Vick and Brady from last year, and am not really interested in keeping two qb's... If anyone wants Brady, I could use a top running back or receiver.

Can we trade a player for a draft pick?

There are no trades on draft day. As soon as the draft is over you can begin doing trades through the Yahoo interface. Prior to the draft you can work trades for draft picks BUT each team cannot exceed the roster limit and each team must finish the draft with a full roster. Because of that if you're planning on trading picks for a keeper then the team with a keeper would have to trade an equal number of picks to what he is getting back.

I'm thinking one possible scenario for a trade could be trading one player for an inferior player and to balance it out picks are swapped from different rounds.

I'm at work and I can't access Yahoo Fantasy Sports from here. I don't see why we can't do this but I'll need to check the settings.

Everybody welcome jbml. He's the newest manager to the league. We still have one vacant roster spot. Once we fill that spot and once Doc registers, the league will be full and I can set a Keepers deadline.

You sure you don't want in on the keeper league? We have one open spot and there looks to be some really good players available to new comers.
