now that Rytas is out of the euroleague, what is the maximum number of games that Valanciunas can play before he comes over ?

there is about 30 on the Rytas site now, plus any playoffs and olympic/international, not sure if Lithuania can still qualify

Lietuvos Rytas will play in three leagues:
Eurocup , we can call it second European league, for teams which didn't make into main Euroleage. Schedule is not yet set for this league, qualification still going. Competition quality is good, but not the best.
VTB It's something like eastern Europe league. Best teams of that region countries, so competition quality is good enough. Schedule is released.
LKL, Lithuanian league. Low level competition, except for the games with Zalgiris Kaunas. schedule is released.

So amount of games will be the same as, if they would make Euroleague, just opponents not always be strongest ones.
There will be updated schedule on Lietuvos Rytas club site, if you don't want to keep up all three different sites of leagues. Eurocup schedule will be added as soon as it will be released.

thanks, after checking out some of these sites, I would think that he would play no more than 50 games until next years training camp

Team let Valanciunas have one week to rest before upcoming season.

"Unlike other our team players, Jonas had busy schedule, playing for junior and national teams this summer and joined us for Euroleague qualification tournament right after. We're going to give him a little vacation before upcoming season." - team manager said.

He will miss two games this week and will be back for next week game with Lokomotiv-Kuban.

Just saw that Lietuvos Rytas didnt qualify for Euroleague...for those of us not fluent in international basketball, is Eurocup the equivalent of our D-Leaugue or heaven forbid the equivalent of the newly formed NBLC?

Im hoping =I dont have to listen to more "Jonas isnt playing against real talent" arguements.

Tony Parker is going to play in Eurocup, while Deron Williams team failed to qualify to Eurocup even. So there is enough talent in Eurocup.

Saw few games. IMO, the coach does not use full potential of Jonas. Also I noticed that he needs a good point guard to be efficient at this period of his career.
