Always nice to see him follow up a bad game with something like this.

Watching these highlights increases my interest in Kirilenko. He looks like he is in great shape and length is impressive. This along with reports today that Nets don't have a deal in place yet:

The Nets have monitored the play of Andrei Kirilenko throughout his season with CSKA, according to sources.

But the sources say the Nets don't have a verbal agreement with Kirklenko on a three-year contract.

Wendell Maxey reported earlier in the week that the Nets had an agreement in place with Kirilenko.

      • It appears there is just 3 games left to the year for JV.

        L. Rytas vs. Zalgris for the LKL championship.

        Best of 3 series.

Games today (6th), 10th, and 13th of May.

Then he gets about four weeks off to relax before starting to get ready for the Olympics. Hope he doesn't play any pick-up ball on asphalt.

It's a series till 3 wins. So technically there might be 5 games left for JV (if series end up 3-2 either side).

              Thanks for the clarification.

I made the assumption based on the L. Rytas website schedule.

                L. Rytas assume they win three in a row :-)

                • Is Lithuania a lock for the olympics or there's still a distinct possibility that we see him in the summer league at Las Vegas?

No, Lithuania still has to win qualification to Olympics. It's safe to assume they have really good chances on qualifying.

The 2012 FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament is a men's basketball tournament that will consist of 12 national teams, where the top three teams earn a place in the 2012 Olympics basketball tournament. It will be held on 2–8 July 2012 in Caracas, Venezuela.

Curious to see so few FGA in such a big game.

Can anyone offer any insight to that?

Nothing was going well for rytas, alot of missed shots, turnovers, Valanciunas didnt get alot of good passes there were some questionable calls, the team didnt get into an ofensive groove. maybe it will change in game 2...
