No Bargnani ( maybe that's why they're winning ), no Danilo Gallinari and still, they play like champions.
I hope to see JV putting some monster stats against Italy bigs. ( If he gets any minutes.. )
Italy is without their enforcer Mancinelli.
Next game will be on Thursday.
Lithuania vs Italy quarter finals at 4pm et time.
Spain lost intentionally, to avoid LT, I know it sounds strange, but it was obvious.
Have you seen the game? It was obvious. At one moment they were literally throwing bricks from foul line. Serbia has weaker frontline and Spain already know Serbia's game and beaten them in friendly games. It's just that Spain has only Gasol at the frontline and their coach does not want to risk, going against team with deep frontline in quarterfinals.
Lithuanian fans are getting funny before QF!
JV actually looks like a Soldier.
SI Top 100 NBA PLAYERS: Notable omissions
Jonas Valanciunas, Toronto Raptors (C, 21)
2012-13 stats: 23.9 MPG, 8.9 PPG, 6.0 RPG, 1.3 BPG, 55.7 FG%
2012-13 advanced stats: 15.6 PER, 3.9 Win Shares, -1.3 RAPM
Valanciunas would be locked into a top-100 spot if our list considered future seasons, but in his current form he barely missed the cut. All the same, there’s much to like in his growing game, and it’s possible that the second-year center (and reigning Summer League MVP) could improve quickly enough to make this omission glaring in retrospect. — RM
Man, anyone else watching the Spain game right now? They're absolutely slaughtering Serbia, and Sergio Rodriguez is showing off the best handles this side of an And1 mixtape.
