  • Hey Hedo ... Strike a Pose ... Or Not

I'm really starting to dislike this guy more and more everyday. Does he think he's royalty?

The truth was out there, but it’s all been deleted.

It took less than a minute to delete all photos that would have told the story of what actually took place when clubgoer Jazmine Singh’s photo-taking collided with the ego of Toronto Raptors forward Hedo Turkoglu at a popular night club in Yorkville early Thursday morning.

Singh, who said she was taking pictures of her friend Meghan Kesivic at the bar in Lobby Night Club around 1 a.m., was stunned when a “giant 7-foot man” turned out and grabbed the phone from her hand and deleted all her photos.

It wasn’t until they asked the club’s security to help, that they were told the big guy was a basketball player with the Raptors — and — in not so many words — that he could get away with it.

“He just ripped the phone out of my hand — I thought he was trying to steal it,” said Singh, still incredulous a day later. “I had no idea who he was. I didn’t care who he was. No one has the right to do that,” she said.

Turkoglu was on the defensive that night.

The Turkish import told the Star Thursday he was at the bar “trying to chill” with friends, when he saw a flash go off. He said that’s when he asked a security guard to grab the phone and delete the pictures.

“I don’t like people taking my picture, especially in the club, before asking. She did. I said ‘Did you ask me?’ She said no. I said, ‘I want you to delete it’,” Turkoglu told the Star’s Dave Feschuk following Thursday’s practice at the Air Canada Centre.

“There was a guy with me, a security guy, he deleted it,” said Turkoglu.

Singh says he never even tried to speak with her. She says she would have willingly deleted any photos he was mistakenly in, if Turkoglu had simply asked instead of “reaching out his long arm and simply grabbing the phone right out of my hands.

“I think he just saw a flash and freaked out,’ she said.

Kesivic said Turkoglu’s story doesn’t add up, since she’s not a basketball fan and didn’t even know who he was. “He could have knocked on my door and tried to sell me something, I would have had no idea who he was.”

It was only when they went home, and searched online, that they confirmed it was Turkoglu.

Maybe he was with some other girl and didn't want his wife to catch wind. Still, pretty assholish behavior either way.

      Yikes.
Maybe he was eating a Domino's pizza and didn't want his sponsor to see.

guys, i have done this before at club/bar and it really is beyond irritating when people take pictures without asking. they post it on the web or put it on youtube which is probably what this chick was gonna do.

why does this girl have any right to invade another mans privacy and why is it any of your business what turk was doing in his free time? does he think he is royalty? nah, just trying to relax without know it alls trying to invade his life.

but cmon who hasnt deletes pics from others phones? i do it all the time. no big deal.

She didn't ask to take Hedo's picture, and Hedo didn't ask her to deleted them.

              End of story.

Allow me to re-phrase my point.

This girl didn't ask Hedo for permission to take his picture. As such, Hedo didn't need to ask her for permission to delete the pictures she took of him.

Hedo had every right to have the unauthorized pictures taken of him deleted - the manner in which he went about doing so was "unsavory", but as a celebrity, he has no other recourse than to handle such a situation himself.

Now she knows: DO NOT TAKE RANDOM PHOTOS OF HEDO!

well, i mean dude. i dunno how often you hit the club after a really rough day at work (like hedo had) but you really just want to chillax. hedo just came off of a game where he was shooting bricks and air balls when he was wide open. obviously he is going to be a little uptight. not to mention the boos from the HOME CROWD and the gossip about how much he supposedly sucks. you can understand the frustration. like i said i have been there before.

                      Poor guy.

Had a rough game and wanted to drink away the pain.

Clubs don't even have tissues to soak up his tears. That's ok he can use $100 bills if he wants to dry his eyes.

                        Raffy15,

I believe you are making all sorts of assumptions here. The fact is that they were all in a public venue and it is not illegal to take pictures in such an environment (even if as you suggest the woman had targetted Hedo in the photos which is of course not her or her friend's view of events). Hedo then had the opportunity to have the club pursue the matter with the picture taker...which he did not and if circumstances were different (like the women had male escorts who would have taken affront at Hedo's actions) we might have a different story to read today. And its a good thing he was in a Toronto nitespot not some other city on the circuit.

Hedo should have the club post a privacy rule against picture taking. He could then have some legal leg to stand on. He had a physical response to what happened and that is my objection.

I have an opinion on this matter just like the rest of you have. Most of you guys are just irritated because you believe that Hedo has been playing like crap for the entire season. If hedo had been playing like a bonafide all star most of you would be laughing at this incident or recounting your own experiences in nightclubs. As it is, you feel the need to make sarcastic remarks and fire expletives towards him. This in fact solves nothing.

Not illegal but not the most intelligent action one should take after a guy had a rough day at the office. Im not sure if you are trying to threaten Hedo by saying if he did this in cleveland or somewhere else than he may have been injured or killed?

The whole thing is just a little hard to belive. She doesnt know that the 7 foot guy is an nba player? She doesnt watch the news at all and recognize his quite distinctive face and expression? She hasnt seen the pizza commercial? Seriously?

                            Bah.

The Star got the memory card from the girl's phone and published the photo.
Not much going on in it.

you dont know what this girl is capable of though. she could be a cpu wiz and photoshop some girl into the picture with hedo and get him in some trouble on the home front. its a battle field out there with all the camera phones. your risking it all when you go out in public nowadays.
