Raptors through Xbox
MLSE will offer Raptors games through Xbox Live. GolTV is already live. Leafs and Raptors to follow later this month. Costs are still TBD.
The Xbox MLSE application, known as Real Sports, will provide Canadians with access to content from the company’s three television channels: Leafs TV, NBA Canada TV and the soccer-themed GOL TV.
While the NBA and GOL channel content will be available across Canada, Leafs TV content will be restricted to the Toronto Maple Leafs’ current regional broadcast territory of Ontario, excluding the Ottawa Valley.
Although the Real Sports application will offer some free content, users who don’t subscribe to MLSE’s existing cable channels will have to pay to access Leafs and Raptors games.
Leafs games will cost $6.99 on a pay per view, or monthly access fee basis. MLSE plans to offer similar packages for Raptors games once the NBA lockout is concluded.
Although MLSE, has been rumoured to be planning a new catch-all regional sports network under its Real Sports banner for some time, the new application is not a harbinger of things to follow, according to Chris Hebb, MLSE’s senior vice president of broadcast and content.
“What we’re trying to do here is reach a consumer who may not have a cable box,” he said.
“If you look at the generation coming up, there’s a lot of consumption taking place on devices outside the cable and satellite box. Our position isn’t that we’re launching a regional sports network, it’s that we are taking content that already exists to another platform and making it easier for the consumer to get it because they’re already there.”

If anyone else is trying to cut the cord and get rid of cable/satellite TV, this seems like a great option. You will get 22 OTA HD channels with an antenna (GTA), and still have the opportunity to watch live Raptors games in HD. I'm still waiting for further details before committing to xbox.
