(*This might be a waste of time, er, more of a waste of time than normal, if Gordon is re-upped by January 25th*)

Trade would have to be done after July 1st and be a sign and trade with Gordon agreeing to sign with and NOH agreeing to the deal with Toronto.
New Orleans: DeMar, Amir or ED, 2013 draft pick
Toronto: Eric Gordon, Trevor Ariza
Rationale:
New Orleans: re-team Jack with his buddies. Creates future flexibility. Gordon might be too costly for them and his injury history might scare them off relative to the amount of contract he is looking for. Their own and Minnesota's 1st round draft pick might give them players that make Gordon on a big contract expendable (Jeremy Lamb? Harrison Barnes? Brad Beal?).
Toronto: they need perimeter help and Gordon and Ariza would classify as help. Ariza is still only 26 (well, 27 on June 30). Gordon's injuries are a concern but I am a huge believer in preventative training and the Raps have one of the best overseeing this in Alex McKechnie. Raptors lineup:
PG: Calderon
SG: Gordon
SF: Ariza, Kleiza, JJ
PF: Bargnani, ED
C: JV
They could resign Barbosa and still have 2012 pick.
I know this is extremely unlikely but do you like the concept?
