Here is a way to gain back $4M in cap space to get us to about $8.3M, and is a slight adjustment to my initial
wet-dream trade, without using Denver's services:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMa...radeId=7phd3l6
Toronto: Nash, MWP, LAL pick
Phoenix: Bayless, Davis, Barnes, Toronto's 2013 pick
LAL: Calderon, Beasley
Minnesota: Barbosa
Phoenix may not do this, but getting 2 expiring contracts, the potential in Davis and Bayless, plus a 2013 pick may be the best deal they get for a 38 year old Nash who could end up as a UFA. LAL is interested in Beasley through rumours.. in exchange Minny gets guard depth that they need who is also an expiring. Toronto sheds an additional $4M so they can get Chandler, and can draft Kabongo with LA's pick.
The bad part of this deal is having to deal with MWP's salary. You could use Walton instead of MWP, but then LA has to get rid of another player (like Goudelock or Morris).
