You forgot about Jack. We tried to trade Calderon so we could keep Jack but found no takers. Calderon has just developed the ability to shoot almost contested jump shots and now everybody wants to keep him???? You are not playing 5 on 4 any more but he doesn't demand tight coverage. I would not keep him at 10 mil.

Calderon wasn't almost traded to keep Jack. He was almost traded to acquire Chandler, a defensive anchor at C that would have enabled Bargnani to shift to PF a season earlier. That trade has nothing to do with Jack, aside from the fact that the team had a decent backup PG to allow them the luxury of being able to trade away Calderon.

It minimally involved Jack because he was playing at a high level at the point guard for us when Jose was injured...
