  • Richest/Poorest teams?

    Sorry if this thread was already posted, couldn't find one.

    I was wondering are there any lists with richest/poorest NBA franchises anywhere?

    What do you think what franchise has the most/least money?

    Most = Lakers
    Least = Oklahoma

          I'm assuming valuable but if assumption is incorrect the list below has operating income as well as valuations. Here is the list of most valuable franchises from Forbes magazine. Their methodology is often disputed by team owners and the league but I think it gives an idea. If you meant

              This doesn't really paint an accurate picture of OP's question. You listed the teams according to market value, which may or may not be directly related to how rich a team is. There are a number of factors that influence this including market size, cable contracts, etc.

              For example, the Raptors are in Toronto, a pretty favourable market for sports in general (if not specifically basketball). However, if you look at our cap situation we are definitely in the bottom half of the league. The same goes for teams like Houston or Denver.
