  • Barbosa to Clips

    http://espn.go.com/blog/los-angeles/...the-right-move

LAC has been looking for a guard ever since Billups went down. However, according to the article, the price has been too steep for guys like Allen, Crawford, etc., which is where Barbosa comes in.

While Boston and Portland are apparently asking for a 1st rounder AND Bledsoe, I think we would be perfectly content to settle for a Barbosa/Bledsoe swap.

They would have to add salary to make it work (probably Ryan Gomes), but I think it's a fair deal that would make a lot of sense for both sides. Throw in Carter and it's too good to be true!

On first glance, it leaves us with a temporary logjam at the PG position. But, there's no guarantee that Bayless will be given a qualifying offer this summer, especially if we can acquire someone younger/with higher upside between now and October. If the Clippers want to include Bayless in a potential trade, it would be something to consider as well.

So, what do you think? Would the Clips do it?

I like it, the Clips need veteran experience, especially with Chris Paul the only really experienced backcourt player they have. With Billups out.

Good for Toronto, I hope Bayless doesn't get a qualifying offer, until he knows he's a shooting guard.

Clips probably would do, just because they get Barbosa. Plus Clippers have a log jam at the PG as well, with Paul, Williams, and when Billups is back he WILL get minutes there even though he is the shooting guard.
