WHOA! Interesting ... wonder what we got back.

yeah for a second round pick. at least we get something, i guess.
@jerboat
parlay 2 second rounders for a late first maybe??
(doubtful)
@jerboat
for a 2nd round pick.
So Raps get something for an expiring contract, and if Colangelo wants to take a run at LB as a FA in the summer, can still do so. Nice small move.

well, its a good enough draft we might be able to strike gold (silver? gold coloured rock?) with one of the second rounders.
i'm pleased with it.
also this should help our lotto chances![]()
@jerboat
The details better be good...
Enough with the pasta Andrea! @AngryRaptorsFan
Don't you feel Toronto got too less..? I mean a lot of teams were calling Barbosa and we traded him only for a second rounder?

Source: RealGM.comThe Raptors have traded Leandro Barbosa to the Pacers, according to a source.
Toronto will receive a second round pick in return, according to a source that spoke with David Aldridge.
Because the Pacers are under the salary cap, they are able to absorb the salary of Barbosa.
I don't get it. I mean if they're not planning on keeping him it's better to get something rather than nothing but honestly I expected more.

There might be more to this we have yet to hear about.
Can't say I'm pleased with this unless BC already has some deal with 2 second rounders for a low first.. but i suppose a second rounder is better than a walk

Certainly hope so. Let's see how the rest of today's events pan out.

I like it, although it reeks of a salary dump. My guess is that he'll be back this summer on a smaller contract. Could end up being a nice move by Colangelo if we can get him back. Pacers probably want to make a bit of a run in the playoffs and don't mind renting him for the cost of a second rounder. I don't know how the second round works, but if Indiana does better, does that pick get better as well? Meaning 1st round: worst team picks first and best team picks last (in theory), 2nd round: best team picks first and worst team picks last? Kinda like a zig-zag.
Or perhaps something like 2 2nd round picks for a player like Dragic?? Similar to how they acquired Delfino from Detroit a few years ago.
I agree completely that even a mid-late 2nd round pick is better than getting nothing in return for Barbosa... plus, he could still return next season at a much lower veteran contract, who knows.
Not impressed. I thought he could have yielded more the a 2nd round pick. His value to this team is definitely above that. I this instance I think we should have just kept him. You set a precedent in what you trade players for. If you are not going to get fair value you don't give something to your opponent.
