I see Calderon struggling in this. Not enough talent on the floor for him to be effective.
The combination of lack of talent to work with and George Hill guarding him are gonna make for a long evening.

How exactly does Calderon make people better again?

Making the right decisions, running the pick n roll well, not turning the ball over, keeping his dribble alive, rarely leaving his feet, having the ability to knock down open shots and throwing quality lob passes... Are somethings I think he does well. Not a Jose fan I take it?

the guy has no basketball IQ.. all he does is hop around alot and flail his arms.. when he gets the ball he doesnt know what to do so he always resorts to his only move to his left hand.. teams now see it coming a mile away and he usually gets stuffed.. he cant hit an open shot 5 feet away from the bucket.. he's regressed from last year, is not the shot blocking presence we hoped for.. gets a few boards but hes not tough so who cares..

i totally agree.. plus he gets everyone invloved who dont get involved with someone like bayless plays point. i like bayless but jose does make others better. when andrea first came back no one got him involved until jose's ankle got better and u saw him getting better shots

I guess you could say that. I just don't feel like his a good fit for this new culture change. I feel like that he never plays well in these theses tough games.

Did anyone else know that George Hill was going to hit that buzzer beater on Jose

Almost every player goes through a sophomore slump. If you add on he hasn't gone through a NBA training camp and their was a NBA lockout in his first pro off-season. I don't think he'll be 20-10 guy but, a legit 10-10 guy that can defend the rim for you. His a superb rebounder and he is tough. You can't be as good of a rebounder as he is if your not tough. The reason he doesn't get as much block is cause Casey has he bigs really coming out on screens. Which takes them away from the paint and his poor at hedging

i hear you and believe me i hope u are right that he can get better but i see 0 progress in any game this season.. amir johnson and james johnson still manage to get a ton of blocks.. he just looks horrible in every aspect to me this year.. i was impressed with his rookie year but he turned me off this year big time.

There are only 7 in the entire NBA (and the Lakers have 2).

Furthermore, there are only 28 guys in the league who average 8 rebounds per game. Not even every team has one guy who averages 8 rebounds per game - forget 10 per game.

Averaging 10 rebounds per game is a big deal and, sadly, I don't think Davis will ever do it.

                            Rough game. Wow.

Alan Anderson is doing a really nice job of knocking down the ball. Calderon has 11 assists even while he's playing horrendous.

Seriously though, he is our leading scorer and he is on a 10 day contract.

                                Step up DeMar.
