@jerboat
Ibaka is playing for Spain.

Good test for USA against Brazil going on right now; Brazil leading by 10 after first quarter.

Wow, Brazil 12 turnovers in second quarter and only 5 points.
The USA team has proven themselves as vulnerable in their exhibition play. When it gets down to single elimination games a defeat is possible though not likely. Spain vs. USA today at 4:30 on ESPN. It's a warm up but should prove interesting.
I would really not say that USA is a 100% lock. They have been overall fantastic, but have had flashes of mediocrity. I could see Spain giving them problems.
While I do not think this is the greatest USA team ever ('92 is better for sure), no team has had this many talented guards. Westbrook, Harden, DWill, CP3, Kobe. I really can not think of another team with a guard core like this.
2008 had better guards than this team. Wade and Kobe in their prime plus D Will and CP3.

Anyone got a link to the Lithuanian game? I can't find one.

There is one up now. If someone else is searching, you can find the game here.
I don't understand the logic of a warm up against Iceland. Confidence builder, perhaps?

Probably; our national football team (as in soccer) does that normally before a big tournament. The last game they play at home is the 'wave goodbye game' against an inferior opponent.
I think I would still take 2012 over this. I just love the infusion of veterans and younger guys. They play some scary D and it all starts with their guards. Though Kobe was ridiculous in 2008. He was crazy clutch.
EDIT: Forgot about Kidd. Jason Kidd makes the difference for me. He made 2008 that much deeper and, while he didn't play very well statistically, he initiated their offense very well. Yeah 2008 had better guards.

Wow USA are struggling to score right now! Jose is looking pretty good too with the facilitation of the offense. This is probably the worst offensive performance I've seen from Team USA so far. My money is totally on Spain!

USA of to a slow start against Spain. Calderon is killing them by feeding Ibaka; Chandler sits with 2 fouls in the 1st quarter.

4th quarter; USA up by 15 or so, easy win. Marc Gasol didn't play. Probable semifinal at the olympics will be fun though. Spain has the tools to beat the usa.
Jose was taken out of the first quarter I believe and didn't come back in for awhile.. Calderon was really picking through the USA defense with Ibaka working for position, when those two came in, they never found a rhythm again...
Navarro was extremely quiet, and Gasol was sub-par. The team lost by 20+ with an average effort, but it was only exhibition.
