It was within the last 4 days or so. Why wasn't that dunk in the dunk contest?

Ohhhh yea. Well he's looking good. I'm so glad he's finally working really hard. He has so much potential. If he can get close to Demar's work ethic the sky's the limit for this kid.

Before end of Ross' rookie deal I see him or DeRozan traded.

He's a natural 2 and his best position is 2

Problem is he never gets to play the 2. His ball handling never developed last season since he was the 3-D wing.

January 25, 2014 vs. Los Angeles Clippers – 51 points (16-for-29 FG, 10-for-17 3PT FGA) and nine rebounds.

Too bad we didn't win that game.

Ross doesn't have bad handles to be honest, I was watching game 2 and was impressed by a few of his crossovers.

However, the two have fit incredibly well together in my opinion. Play off one another's strengths, and cover each other's weaknesses.

The 2 & the 3, apples and oranges, tomayto, tomahto; in today's NBA it's more regarded as the "wing" positions. No real separation other than when bigger/smaller players are slotted in, and that's usually how the position is distinguished, or sometimes is.

Size is the one area both have the same weaknesses versus larger wing players.

The BC era was filled with finding incomplete players that compliment one another.

I'd like to see a collection of talented complete or near complete basketball players versus a collection of borderline specialists covering for one another's weaknesses.

I think you're trying to squeeze the 'borderline specialists' thing.

The two just fit together really well, and obviously they had tons of success playing alongside one another. Maybe Casey did feel like they would cover each other's weaknesses, however they play off one another's abilities, and I'd take a better fit than a redundancy or "who's the guy?" issue. I wouldn't define DeRozan nor Ross as borderline specialists. They do certain things really well, in DeMar's case, score, and Terrence's case, 3-&-D, but they have taken steps in improving every other facet of their game (upped totals in certain parts - assists, rebounding, steals, field goal/free-throw/3-point shooting percentages).

Yeah, they're alright, he's shown flashes. Ball handling seems to come more natural to Ross than, say, DeMar. If Ross puts in as much work on his handles as DeRozan is doing this offseason, he could be a great ISO player as well as a 3&D guy.

There is no such thing as 2s and 3s anymore. It's just wings. When you look at it that way majority of the night our wings are usually bigger that others. both DD and Ross are 6'7". Dd is bigger at around 215. I'm hoping Ross is at least around 210 now. Dd got a 6'10" wingspan, Ross has a 6'7" wingspan. On most nights in the NBA that more than enough size to get you through.

These guys will be a fine wing duo for years to come. Everybody is always saying "what if VC and TMac stayed together?". Let's not wonder about these too.

I get your point but that is an awful example.
