Curry's a PG and Iggy is a SF. Even Demar is a SF but listed at SG to get into the all-star game. With TRoss Toronto has a legit 2 guard. He may not be as good a player as DD but he will be the better guard.
Not sure what is your point, I was answering the best 1-2-3 trios in the NBA.

Okay, I agree with OKC and GSW having better trio. I guess Parker Ginobli and Kawhi is another. Lillard Batum Mathews. Can you think of others?
I'd honestly take the Raptors one over the Blazers. Matthews is only a 3 n D guy.

I need to read threads all the way back. I thought it was better SG. Curry -Thomposon-Iggy might not be as good as Someone+Wade+LeBron or as potentially good as Jackson+Westbrook+Durant.

        • I was going based on the merits of all three- hence why I wasn't thinking OKC or Miami. GSW though- I'd go to war with our guys instead of theirs. My reasoning- our trio is better on D, and Iggy is 30 and has only played over 70 games once in the last 4 seasons. If Iggy loses a step due to injury/age, Curry is better than KL but not by that much because he can't play D, Ross can be better if he comes out with improved dribbling and aggression than Thompson, and Iggy a step slower isn't as good as DD.

          • Lowry -Ross-DD is a good trio. Potentially DD is the weak link and he's an all-star. Curry-Thompson-Iggy are better defensively even with Curry but worse offensively even with Curry.

            • I think its safe to say we have the second best 123 combo in the east. Right behind whatever team lebron goes to

              • What I love most about Ross is his foot speed. The guy can stay in front of the John Wall's & Westbrook's. I hope he never signs up for the infamous Raptor 10 lb of muscle bulking summer program.

We still really need a big wing who can handle the Melo's & Joe Johnson's but not necessarily a starting 3.

Ross doesn't need weight, he needs strength. Big difference. Also, I too would prefer that they search for a big wing off the bench, rather than a starter. Ideally, Fields is that guy (dejavu -- I think I've said this before), but that's dependent on him finding his jump shot again

                  • Really curious to see him and Big val this year after their disappointing play offs last year.

                    • Terrence Ross has already gotten bigger. He posted a pic on instagram recently with Terrence Jones and some other guy and he looked thicker to me. Not where it was too much though. I think he's just the right size now from that pic at least. He needs to get a little stronger but I don't want him getting too big either.
I relish negativity and disappointment. It is not healthy. Somebody buy me a pony.

                      • As much as it was hopeful to be the only playoff team starting two sophomores, is it ideal to have Ross start on a playoff team? Not to rehash the value of Ross but now that there is a but more money lying around, there are bigger names being mentioned as a SF target. Is there any realistic target that would move Ross to the bench? Is that a bad thing?

i wouldn't mind granger if he came cheap, but i think i would still start ross. granger for a one year player/team option second year to revalue himselfwould be nice. i think deng moves him to the bench but i don't think that is what they are looking for. i think they are looking for a match up player who will get spot minutes and be a specialist.

                          • Bigger names like who? Ariza? I'll take Ross any day of the week. Can't wait to see him improve again this season.
Moving Ross to the bench would indeed be very poor for his development. I'd prefer a backup small forward to use if required against bigger small forwards, like people have stated above.

                            • Rather start him so he gets experience.
