  • Possible 2012-2013 Starting Lineups

    hey everyone

When thinking about the starters for this years Raps, there are many interesting combinations that you can have, but specifically at the 2 and 3 spots because most people know Lowry, Barg and JV are a lock

    PG: Lowry
    SG: Fields
    SF: DeRozan
    PF: Bargnani
    C: Valanciunas

    PG: Lowry
    SG: Calderon
    SF: DeRozan
    PF: Bargnani
    C: Valanciunas

    PG: Lowry
    SG: DeRozan
    SF: Ross
    PF: Bargnani
    C: Valanciunas

Just tell me what you guys think of those three/suggest new ones

I don't know...before training camp and preseason I can't say I'm confident JV is a lock. He's the future but there may not be a need to throw him into the fire right away.

I agree that Fields will be playing the 3 spot as well, will he be the starter is the question. A healthy and motivated Linas Kleiza coming off an olympic run where he is a feature player may put up a hell of a fight in training camp....if he comes back a little beat up, the spot is Landry's for sure.

How's this for a long shot...by the end of the year:

          PG: Lowry
          SG: Ross
          SF: Fields
          PF: Davis
          C: JV

Before anyone gets their hopes up...Bargs is coming off the bench.

both DeRozan and Barg could become valuable trade assets

So our two sure fire core pieces will be coming off the bench? IMO I see them each having a breakout year.

Anderson beating out both Fields and Kleiza? Now that's bold....

He's my favourite out of the SFs that we have right now. Hopefully Landry can be as good on the court as he is on the mic to win me over.

Anderson hasn't even resigned with the raps yet...even if he does I think he'll be on the bench again. he was only signing to 10 day contracts last year, which meant the team didn't really have that much of an interest in long term play. and as much as you guys think this is about skill, DeRozan will probably be starting the whole year just based on what he means to this team

He's not actually one of "the SFs that we have right now".
