Another DeRozan Drew League video. Say what you want about "pick-up basketball" and "no defense" but his game is looking quite developed, especially his jumper and handles.

No matter how many times I watch this, I always gets me so pumped up for next season! Wait so who's who? Kyle Lowry is Captain America? Jonas Valanciunas is Hulk? Demar Derozan is Iron Man? Andrea Bargnani is Thor? Fields is Hawkeye? Dwayne Casey is Nick Fury. So who's the Black Widow? :P

Ok, ok... I just watched The Avengers a few days ago and I though about it and came back here. I think that Raptors Avenger video that was linked in the thread is Bang On!

Casey=Fury
Bargs= Captain Italia
Lowry= Iron Man (makes the biggest impact in the movie)
Fields/Kleiza= Banner/Hulk (Fields is the calm smart one, Casey subs in Kleiza when we need that toughness at the SF spot)
Valanciunas= Thor, the Demigod from a faraway place
Obviously Bryan Colangelo is Black Widow
Ross is Hawkeye, you don't see him join the main team until later in the movie, and has nice range/shot

The sad thing is, he might be right. For him not to be right..
...the clock would have to catch up to Boston (why won't they get old already?!)
...it must be proved that you can take the Nets out of New Jersey but you can't take the New Jersey out of the Nets
...similarly, something truly New York Knick-ish would have to happen to the Knicks (they are trying to sign 'Sheed)
...Bynum would have to play one game and blow his knee (hmmm...that could actually happen)

Slim chances for any of those which would make Charles right. But if anyone of them comes true, here we go! Then again, maybe we should just worry about winning as many games as we can and then see where we land.

When asked what expectations the Raptors should have this year....he said none. They are the 5th team in a five team conference with no chance to get into the top four. Thus, expect nothing.

Its all good because the way I see it, respect is earned and this new group hasn't played a single game together. This team has its work cut out for them being in the Atlantic which is arguably the toughest division in the NBA. All these critics better stick to their guns because once Toronto begins to put up some numbers they better not try to act like experts at predicting shit.
