Thread: Can Landry Fields be as good as Mo-Pete?

    i think a lot of people here have a very clouded memory of what mo-pete actually did. he was a great role player who at his very best averaged 16/4/2, six years into his career.

    fields is coming off a disappointing sophomore season that we don't even need to really talk about, we all know what happened there. he's a better rebounder than mo pete ever was and i'd say as good if not better on D.

    im not saying Fields is ever going to be more than a quality role player, i doubt it, but i think people tend to look at mo-pete's career with rose coloured glasses.

    I don't think anyone has said anything other than he was a good role player. I said he was better than DD and I stand by that statement. I think if Landry tops out at "only" as good as Mo then thats a success.

    And I would add to the bold he did that in a year where he averaged 38 minutes and the team won 27 games..... the year of Mike James.

    Doug Christie handled the ball quite a bit when he played, definitely more two guard than Landry.
