Al Jefferson leaving my team with a bang!

I'm liking my new team. Lol going for the clean sweep this week!
This is a question probably for Apollo or Joey, but if anyone else has an answer I'd appreciate the help. I'm currently sitting at 39 years for the cap. Can I drop Brandon Roy who i had signed for 2 years, and simply pick up someone else off waivers without using my 'amnesty' clause on that person?
If I've read the rules right i can drop Roy and pick up another player, but Roy's '2 years' still counts against my cap, which means at that point I'm at 40? Am i right in this?
Thanks for the help!
Absolutely. If you are okay with his 2-years remaining against your cap, drop him to the wire and pick someone new up. And as you kind of said already, you can only sign them to a 1-year deal, which will put you at the Cap; but because you're not signing over the 40-year cap, you will have first rights to extend him in the off-season, if you see fit.

I have a suggestion. Is there anyway we could do a max games per week? If no one could go over the max it could stop people from winning, just because they play more games then their opponents.
Kevin Love makes his Surprise Debut!!
ADD Must not have been much of a surprise, you actually started him tonight. Well played, sir.

Triple double for Hibbert tonight. Including 11 blocks. That trade has been unreal for me. The 5 James harden steals looks good on the stat sheet aswell.
And I may have already posted this but I'm looking to trade josh smith for a solid point guard.
Another trade, now all I need is another point guard and my team is set. No one except rondo is untouchable.
I'm open for trades as well, just dont trade rape me.
I believe I know the answer to this question already, but I'm gonna ask anyways... Since I started the season at with a cap hold of 36, and I released and signed two players for one year, does it remain at 36 or go up to 38? Pretty sure it stays at 36 but I need confirmation so that I can start making more moves. My team is built for two years down the road, but I'd like to get at least ONE victory this season... haha

I don't think there is space for a 2 year contract.Meyers Leonard 2 years (I'm pretty sure I have the space).
Picked up Terence Jones and Mo Harkness earlier, 1 year each.
Anyone want a prospect?
You are correct Euro. Thanks for pointing that out.
Coastal, if your cap was 37, and you have since picked up TJones and Harkless, then you can only sign Leonard to a 1 year contract. Jones and Harkless would have put you at 38 & 39.
