Default Best Movie OST You've Ever Heard

There are a lot of good movies coming out, and it got me thinking about what little things can really improve a movie even more. I thought about it for a bit and the first thing that popped into my head was music, i feel that the soundtracks they use in movies can really affect the overall quality of the movie, it can make even a sub par movie seem even better by using the right kind of music to fit what is going on in the movie.

I went to watch the Amazing Spider-man 2 yesterday and the opening music they used really disappointed me. I really miss the old Spider-man Opening in the Sam Raimi trilogy.

Anyway, i wanted to know what the best movie OST (Original Sound Track) you guys have heard. I'll start things off with my fav

This sends chills down my spine everytime i hear it, absolutely amazing!

John Williams is the man.. he's done Star Wars, Superman, Indiana Jones, Jaws, Jurassic Park, Batman.. All of these are iconic scores. I'd have to pick Superman as my favourite mainly due to nostalgia.

I also like what Dany Elfman does.. he's the go to guy for Tim Burton.

    Well for two songs:

    Start: 00:00
    Start: 48:55

If you experienced the movie you understand how important these two songs were to the mood of the scenes.

Great idea for a thread, more suggestions to come...

Figured I'd start taking this more serious. Ready to train for something... Anything after listening to this for a few minutes.

    Default True Detective

Just finished watching this very good series (8 segments). For those unfamiliar it has Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson who did a bangup acting job in it. Warning: Pretty gruesome crime.

And great music I thought. T Bone Burnett put together the soundtrack and he is one of the best. Here is one...others available on the Tube...
