Easy to be a bench press champ when you only have to push the bar up 18". :-)

Loved Willis. He doesn't get mentioned enough.

That's all i have to say.

Anderson chucking up shots in the 3rd quarter when they were down by 10 just makes me ***. Same with Calderon. And i'm totally done with Bargnani. He's way too unreliable. Yeah 25pts and 9rbs. His D though was garbage as usual.

So, in Jack Armstrong's voice: "Hello" Give the ball to DeMar. He's made tremendous improvement this season. His shot and ball handling skills is so much better from last year. It's like night and day.
jose took 10 shots the whole game, is that what you call chucking?

Demar did well this game and I see it continuing. I would discount the OKC game a bit since he was guarded by Sefolosha who is an excellent defender who only starts to stop/slow down star shooting guards such as Kobe and Wade. It's not so much that Demar didn't play well that game as Sefolosha played really good defense that game...
That's just a Terrible defense as to why DeRozan had a bad game offensively. Do u think any of the stars in this league get to have a bad game cause a so-called specialist is guarding them? I friggin doubt it. Ya gott show up every single night, whether it's the 3rd game in 4 nights or your first in a week. DeRozan is getting way too much love in this thread. While it appears he has improved slightly, it doesn't warrant all this. See when he tried shooting over VC and it just got swatted away? Pass the ball to the open man, especially late in games down 8.

So, rhetorical question. Was his D terrible enough that it negated 25 points and 9 rebounds? He also had 3 assists and 2 steals and no turnovers. At what point does bad defence even out with that kind of performance.

I'm not saying keep him in, just does whoever you replace him with provide enough defence to negate their lower offensive stats? (And by lower offensive stats, I mean all of the Raps other bigs).

Primo is in his PRIME and this is what we get out of him!!! what the bullshit!!
what do you guys think about something along the line of primo for PAU Gasol?
does it not work out for both teams? throw in Jose for Salary matching and LALA will definitely take him to play their Princeton- jose will thrive in it. and BARGS Defensive deficiency will go unnoticed with D-HOW side by him.
and PAU gives us a legit star and perfect PF whose salary will expire in the 2014 summer BC mentioned.
                DEAL?
                just my 2 cents

I don't want Pau. He's running out of gas, fast. What would be the point of acquiring a guy who's retiring around the same time our core will be ready to make some noise?

Hey guys, remember when we force fed DeRozan last year because there were few options? Remember how that turned out?

The real problem isn't either Bargs or DeRozan alone, it's that the team's offense is being run by a bunch of guys who don't play team ball, don't swing it around the perimeter, don't make moves that are intended to get others shots, don't cut or set off the ball screens or have any understanding of how to create a mismatch through a pick and roll let alone recognize and feed a mismatch created in a secondary break.

In short, the team needs well-rounded basketball players that bring more to the table than just scoring or just defence.

Great post. There's no open look 3's because the Raptors NEVER swing the ball. It's like #1 move of the Miami Heat half court offense and we never do it. Penetrate and kick, swing the ball, look for open men, these are offensive principals taught somewhere around middle school basketball and we just don't see it. The Raptors offense is isolation basketball, and screen and 3. Brainless.

I'm watching the portland game and their offense is soo smooth. Our looks like shit, we're pounding the rock literally. Maybe thats what dwane casey really meant by it.

Funny thing is. Bargnani is actually a good passer, he's just so fucking lazy

The one thing consistent about Bargnani's game is his sh!tty defense. He brings that aspect every game.

Easy. Lowry initiate the offense, put the ball in Demar's hands low post. Fields cut weak side or middle, Bargnani fill for safety/shot on the outside, JV stay opposite high post.
