Stretch, I think JV made the confidence easy.
    The Baltic Beast is unstoppable!

Jonas was not so good against Olympic competition and I think that coach was not good for JV's confidence.

Are you comparing JV's first 13 games with their first 13 games or their first season?
Jonas has so much heart, is only 20 and along with his physical skills that tells me he could be one of the best.

He reminds me a lot of Marc Gasol with a potential to have a much better low post game. He's a 20/10 guy. Tyson Chandler? I don't even understand that comparison. They don't play at alike. Val already has a better offensive game.

Laughing at people complaining about his defense on Duncan. Ridiculous. Duncan does it to everyone. He's one of the greatest players of all time and JV played him even.

JV impresses me more and more everyday.

His defensive potential is Tyson Chandler like. So many time's he's erased mistakes from the Raptors guards. I also like that he doesn't pick up touchy fouls. He's does pick up fuols but it wasn't Amir-like (who use to and still does to an extent pick up unnecessary fouls). It was nice to see him go to work on Duncan a few times and his passing is underrated. Once he gains strength and guys cant take advantage of him, he's going to be a beast.

JV is more athletic and quicker then Marc Gasol. Its that combination + his length that people are reminded of TC.

I wouldn't compare him to anybody but I think he is "franchise player" material. Raptors will be wise in building around him.

Naw he's going to be big time. Put it this way, if he's better than Bosh than he's worth building around. Bosh was a fringe franchise player, we made it to the playoffs twice with him(probably more if BC had put together the right team and bosh didn't keep getting injured). If Big V is better than bosh than i think this will be a pretty damn good team in a few seasons. We've been patient this long, might as well wait a while longer

Well, I meant chandler but with more offense. He has the ability to hit that jump shot.

He's gonna be much better than TC IMO, I bet everyone would have guessed he had averaged more than 1.4 blocks in his career. I did anyways. JV can be a 2+ guy eventually.

Not sure if I think JV could be a franchise player but I think he could be really, really good and an All Star level player. Right now, he reminds me of Kenneth Faried because his motor is just non-stop and he runs the floor so hard. There were a couple of times it looked like the big trying to guard him just mentally quit because they were so tired. Once JV adds some strength that could be a regular occurence.

Still, I have no problem admitting I didn't think JV would be this NBA ready in his first season and he proved me wrong, so no reason to doubt that he couldn't one day become a franchise player.

Makes me sad to think what could have been if we could have had both JV and Bosh on the team.

Tyson Chandler scored 28pts ( a new career high), JV's career high is 22 (so far, 14games in) JV will score 28 or more this season, book it
