Default Hedo & Demar - contractual & team responsibility

Re: Hedo and the mask...he says he doesnt want to wear one inspite of doctor's "orders".

Should he or shouldn't he? What if he got smacked again and he had a worse break...with all that entails for the team going forward.

Re: Demar and the dunk contest at the all-star game.

Should he or shouldn't he inspite of getting a couple of games in before the event? Isnt that an unnecessary jeopardizing of his ankle area and thus the team going forward?

Should team management take issue with these positions...and how?

Hedo should shut up and wear the damn mask, were paying him 10million to "play" shut up and listen
Demar should see how the ankle feels closer to the dunkoff. If its still sore he shouldnt dunk, if its okay then he should dunk.

Hedo's injury was very unusual and it is unlikely to be repeated.

And Hedo is right - he's not a kid - he can make his own decisions about protective gear - there are no league rules about this.

@bayanmn, thank you for the link.

The Garbajosa example cited is a case in point. It is a dilemma and I understand Hedo's reluctance...but he is an expensive asset and I am sure there all kinds of insurance ramifications regarding his contract based on medical issues nevermind the long term loss if he were to suffer worse damage. It seems this hurts the team either way which is not nice. He is definitely not going to be very effective playing with it seeing how he feels about it.
