Just going online: ESPN sources say Bulls & Raptors have had exploratory talks on potential trade featuring Carlos Boozer & Andrea Bargnani

makes 15 million next season 16 the year after that

good rebounder...legit low post threat, strong as an ox.

    I officially like it.

Bargnani & Kleiza for Boozer would probably be the easiest way to do it... though I'm like thead in that I'm not sure how I feel about such a trade.

    ESPN Trade Machine: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=bqbnkv3

    2012-13: Bargnani/Kleiza ($14.6M) / Boozer ($15M) = $400,000 additional salary for Toronto (pro-rated for 1/2 season)

    2013-14: Bargnani/Kleiza ($15.35M) / Boozer ($15.3M) = $50,000 savings for Toronto

    2014-15: Bargnani ($11.5M) / Boozer ($16.8M) = $5.3M additional salary for Toronto

it's cool, if the management is willing to go into luxury tax zone then it doesn't really matter (those few millions). And this is upgrade, so we should be happy.

Even with Boozer they're not going to make the playoffs this year. Too deep of a hole.

you could also say BC wants to get rid of bargs bad too LOL

i like Boozer but this IS the same guy who broke his hand tripping over his own gym bag! Id rather take my chances with IF boozer can stay healthy rather then IF bargs can play half decent thats for sure..

maybe we can get Nate Robinson as a throw in.. id take him as a backup PG over JL3 everyday of the week!

if boozer stays healthy hes just the type of player we could use hes been having a solid season too...i dont mind it as long as the other pieces we part with are nothing major.. would help solve our post pressence issues on offense

It's a good a move. Way too many perimeter scorers. We're dealing from a position of strength. I'm all for it.

Definitely a surprising twist for me, but after the initial reaction of "Oh God his contract is massive!", I actually think it could be a good move, basketball wise.

I kinda like it. But, other than a massive contract and age(31) any other things we should worry about Boozer? Havent really followed his career so i dont know?!

he's almost 32...no thanks. Lts try and build on a core that can contend in 3-5 years

That's exactly what I'm thinking. How does this help us in 3 years when:

    Lowry 29
    Gay 29
    Valanciunas 23
    Ross 24
    Derozan 26
    Amir 27

Don't know if that is completely accurate but close. That is a damn good core when everyone is that age if the rookies hit their potential and we add a piece or 2. I'd much rather see Bargs go for something with an eye on the future. Truth be told I'd rather see DeRozan go, as he has more value, giving Ross more time to blossom. Bargs could be a great stretch 4 off the bench, on a really good team.

Bargs has "some" value.... & I'd rather DD over AB

I would seriously consider the boozer for bargs trade if they take Lucas iii , and AA/Lk....give us Boozer , teague and 1st round pick. I would even throw in a 2nd round pick to make it happen

    Bargs PER 12.4
    Boozer PER 17.3

I could poss. see them attaching both kleiza and Anderson with Bargs...I like the deal because as was the same as the Gay trade, we collect the best talent

don't want Booz. brutal contract. only good thing is his and gays contracts line up giving us a ton of money in 3 years while the team can also play at a relatively high level. much prefer ridnour / Williams trade.

Why this? Boozer is SO old he's going to lose it in a year or two, especially since he's on the 11th seed in the East.

I say we make a trade for Luke Ridnour and Derrick Williams for Andrea Bargnani, in my opinion that would be a huge steal for us.
