Interesting Chicago perspective. People do weird things when it comes to the luxury tax.

Boozer has 3 years left on his contract, this is considered moderate risk, high reward with his age given (31)
with the toughness he brings Toronto really needed inside since losing Ed Davis.
Either way, boozer has a contract that should keep our core group together
Contracts:
Derozan:5 yrs
Ross:4 yrs
Valanciunas:4 yrs
Amir:4 yrs
Rudy:3 yrs
Fields:3 yrs

If I get this straight, according to Matt52's post at 6:47 (?), these "talks" aren't active at all. When the "talks" took place, Chicago initiated them, whatever the other details were, BC dismissed the proposal. Now Stein is speculating that maybe the Raps might be interested if the "sweeten the pot" with Nate.
We're talking about someone's speculation that Nate Robinson is suddenly going to change BC's mind by offering Lowry 2.0? Really? As I said in another post, internet NBA writers across the continent know how to up their hits, no matter how real/unreal the bullshit regarding the Raps is.
Know basketball, know fun. No basketball, no fun.
Give us marquis Teague and a first round pick and we'll do it![]()

Update seems aptors are the ones holding back The deal would include Bargnani + "fan favorite" (shudders) JL3 for Boozer and Nate Robinson....
Chicago seems to be the ones pursuing this deal not Toronto as much. Interesting Maybe Boozer and that rookie guard of theirs would do it.

For once a player who might have more power than the bad guys up front. The Raps have desperately needed a power player in the lane for so many years now.
Remember Casey is a defensive coach, even if thibs couldn't teach him good defense, Boozer has a possibility in fitting into Casey's defensive system regardless and proving everyone wrong on D. Given the age of 31, he still has a good couple years left in the tank in terms of offense and D
Also, Boozer is better than Bargs at D than he ever will be

well i like that Nate was included..hed be a great backup... im also glad though that the Raps are going to keep there options open on this one...No sense in rushing things... these discusions may up the ante on other teams offers & get the ball rolling for another potential deal
Not going to rain on your parade but why would Chicago give up Robinson and a pick? As boneheaded Robinson is, he's been playing well under Thibs. I can't believe the amount of money coming into this team. We've officially become the NBA's luxury tax overpaid players dumping site. Fortunately for Colangelo, he can spin this to the board how these players will only come to the Raps via trade and would never consider signing here as free agents.
Ad for Boozer's defence, I'd argue it's worse than Bargs! He's got Noah back there to clean things up for him! He has a knack for rebounding though. But still, a lot of money!!!

Oklahoma and San Antonio shakes their heads.

Only reason I see the Bulls taking JL back, is the fact that he already has the chemistry with most of the Bulls
If we throw in Anderson, I'd gladly take back Teague!!! Other than that, this trade isn't going to end well for the Raps. Bargs is still young. Booze is also injury prone. This one scares me.

This would be idea trade http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine for Tor,LA,and BNets
Yes I know but he is an expiring contract next year. I would want Gasol for his contract not for his game. Boozer has 2 years left (after this year) at $15.3M and $16.8M. Boozer does not guarantee playoffs, he's just an overpaid PF with a bad contract (worse than Bargnani's). Bargnani can be amnestied, Boozer can't.
