  • Raps Have Best Defensive Lineup in the League

According to NBA.com, apparently we have the league's best defensive lineup now with lowry, dd, gay, amir and JV. Followed by the wizards, spurs and bulls.

And one of the worst line ups offensively. I suppose.

            Surprisingly just 24th worst.

Still puzzled how that Washington lineup rates so high. The top 4 were from contending teams.

I read an article about this the other week. Apparently the Wizards are "elite" on defence, but are terrible on offence as well. Okafor and Nene, while neither is a defensive anchor, are working very well together. Throw in Trevor Ariza, and you have 3 decent defenders who are working very well together.

Another reason why I wanted a trade of Bargs for Okafor.

                  Interesting

Is it a small sample size though?

Too bad DC didn't use this lineup in the 42 point 4th quarter vs GSW.

                    42 POINTS!

Way too small a sample size to be relevant. And last night's game was a prime example, if you pay attention to more than a few highlights (steals) and boxscores, that Rudy's defense is lazy and ineffective for most of the game. Hell, rookie Barnes abused him like he was a pylon.

This is something that frustrates me to no end with Casey, regardless of Bargs implications...

For a coach who consistenly preaches D, his late game sub patterns are almost always indicative of favoring offensive players. It's like if we're behind, he wants them to be able to shoot them back into it. And if we're ahead, he's afraid the team's scoring will stall. I don't know the last time I remember him putting a closing unit out there that was supposed to stop the other team...

Seems to me that Casey looks beaten down.

he's losing (lost?) the lockerroom when he starts bargs over amir. seeing a teammate who busts his ass every single minute of every game lose his starting position to the prized pony has got to be enraging, especially when you consider how well liked amir is by everyone.
