  • RR's "What Are You Listening To?" Thread (Non-Rap Version)

No offense to the hip-hop rap fans here, but I thought I'd start a separate music thread that's non-hiphop related.

Been loving these guys & gal lately, The Alabama Shakes. Their album "Boys & Girls" is fantastic.

Another one of my favourite bands "The Heartless Bastards" and their new single "Parted Ways". You gotta watch the video. Talk about googly eyes.

Dont really listen to rock music that much, but whenever I am in the mood I listen to some Tame Impala:

If the Beatles and T-Rex had a kid, and that kid did acid (which it probably would), it would be Tame Impala.

The only rap we'll accept is rock/rap such as Kid Rock, Beastie Boys, RATM, RHCP, Limp Bizkit, select Eminem, etc.

Sometimes, I like to buy a book on CD and listen to it, while reading music.

heavily underrated big wreck tune. My favourite tune by them. Thornley is so udnerrated as a rock vocalist.

I love AltNation on SiriusXM, channel 36. The Verge on 151 is good too - all Canadian music.

I imported a loaded Toyota Sequoia from the US last year and it had satellite radio already subscribed on it. I'm not sure who is paying for it but it has been the best thing to happen for me musically since downloads in the last 1990's.
