  • Danny Granger as a Toronto Raptor

is what i'd like to hear at some point this year. a big athletic 3 who can create off the dribble and defend. still young. and it seems the pacers are willing to part with him to make way for paul george. if im colangelo i do whatever it takes to get him.

matt52, work the trade machine and get us some options then email them to bryan. lets do this.

      Iguodala Trade:

I like Granger but the injuries kind of scare me with him, I don't know when, but the guy's body needs a break from the cumulative damage pro ball has inflicted on him... The summer just isn't long enough... But if there's a lockout for a year--hope not... Let's just say I prefer Iggy.

id tend to agree... but the op was looking at granger so i thought id throw my 2cents in... if all we lost was Kleiza & reggies expiring then id be ok with granger....if all we lost was say peja for iggy id be ok with that too... i just dont think these guys are enough to change the fortunes of the team....it would just be a piece of a puzzle..soo any trade for them better not give up alot of future... like picks!...

First of all, why would the Pacers make this trade??? Granger's salary is actually a really good deal for what he does (good shooter, good creator, good defender and rebounder).

And why would they do it for an expiring contract and a bench player???

And why would you pick Iggy over Granger? Granger is a better player (can shoot; rebounds and defense comparable to Iggy; compare their stats) AND he is cheaper (about $1 million less per year than Iggy).

The only knock on Granger is injuries...

This is nice Christmas wish-listing, but that is all it is.

I feel that Granger would be excellant use for the trade exception, plus we woul dbring back a fan-favourite in TJ Ford

ceez: I must have missed this over the holidays.

I will think about it but I can't see the Pacers trading Granger to the Raptors. The only way Granger leaves IND is if an all-star comes back in return. His injuries are well noted but his play has dropped this year - shooting % is awful and he is not an efficient scorer. I've also read he is settling more and more for the jump shot - which is why FTA and shooting % is down.

Personally, I wouldn't want Granger. It looks like his body is giving out on him. Just my opinion. IF I think of anything though, I'll put it up.

With this, we get granger plus a solid young point guard, and Phili gets rid of Iguadala

Is Ed Stefanski drunk when he makes that deal for the Sixers? Or does someone have incriminating photos of him?
