Murphy: First-round exit. There appears to be enough talent here to finish as a lower seed in the East. The bench could be an issue, but the starting unit was one of the most effective in basketball last season (according to a small sample of data). Too many on this team have too much on the line to throw in the towel.
That last point is worth repeating. A bunch of guys could lose big time money and/or jobs if they have a bad year. Never underestimate the motivating factor of cash....

Yup better shooter, smarter, more athletic, more upside, better slashing game, better handles.

better defender/3 point shooter. open things up for Rudy and JV. Demar is more of a pure scorer, which would help the bench immensely.

Not sure DeMar would even help the bench. Most good 6th man have elite handles and playmaking ability.

We should've just amnestied him to save cap space, unfortunately that was used on Kleiza. I'd like to send him to Minnesota (who reportedly want a wing) for expirings and a 2nd rounder or 2.

The ongoing sarcasm adds little to the discussion. Anyone, myself included, who would look to trade him would want valuable assets in return.

So, Bargnani fetches us a 3pt specialist, 1 FIRST rounder, 2 2nds. You want Derozan to get us an expiring and a 2nd?

You are not good at building basketball teams.

Sarcasm or not, amnestying DeMar would've been impossible anyways, per new CBA.

Trade him to some desperate team for an expiring then.

Why not wait for a big windstorm so you can clutch at the next straw to go whirling past?
