i love this, it's OK to hate on Bargs, in fact, it's like, commonplace and widely embraced

but if someone dares to point out the deficiencies of another player, everyone says "bargs sucks"

you all are hypocrites if you do that you know.

I'll meet you here next year when you are crying about "yo multipaul was right, DD sucks, trade his ass"

I'll be here waiting you pine nuts
ummm nice work not reading what I said with any degree of accuracy (not a suprise). I actually agree with you on Demar (in part), but how you can possibly look at what demar does/doesn't do negatively and ignore the exact same problems with Bargnani is ridiculous.

Do you watch raptors games? Matt and Jack say that like every game. And you know its true your just to busy worshiping a bargnani poster and eating Primo pasta.
HAHHA, yup, Matt and Jack, the de facto gurus of hoops. More like the drunk and the used car salesman!

Come on son, those guys have some MLSE cronie whispering in their ear telling them what to say!

Like I said little gold dust, you make some good posts, you will come around eventually, good work and welcome to RR!

people should really check stats before believing this guy (or a Bargs fan in general).

He is actually averaging 0.7 blocks per game and 5 rebounds since January. (much worse as you get further away from january......)
Wow, you're right. The 2 bpg boast is actually completely and utterly wrong. I checked it out and discovered that he has averaged 0.7297 bpg since January 1st.

Not only that, but that claim of 6.5 rpg is also completely and utterly false. Since January 1st, Bargnani has averaged 5.054 rpg.

Where on earth did he come up with those numbers. His head?

That is true, sorry about that.

I will say this, I made this post about Demar, and I just get a bunch of Tim bandwagon jumpers posting "Bargs sucks" , "Trade Bargs"

Why is DD not allowed to be analyzed and or criticized?

What has he done to earn that right?

What I love- this thread is about DD, and you are talking about Bargs LMFAO

ADMIT IT SON! DD AINT AS GOOD AS U THINK!
Umm you brought up Bargs blocks and rebounds per game since January... not me. I just showed that your stats were wrong.

I also don't think DD is that good. But I've stated that twice....

lol i love how the same critics always quick to point out Bargnani's negative stats yet completly downplay the postive ones. Then when they analyze fan boys like Ed and Amir they pull out these miracoulous stats which make them appear all star esque.

                            So funny....

                            Conversation:

"So, how come Demar played so bad tonight when AB was injured"

                            reply

"WHAT! WHAT! HOLD ON HOLD ON! BARGS SUCKS OK! NO REBS OK!"

                            typical DD apologist

                            • Well, it's nice to have to old Multipaul back I guess.

Derozen is a second year player who has a long way to go. His rebounding numbers and assists are both pretty low at the moment but it is likely he ill get there. The kid has size, decent speed, and he hustles, so there is no reason to think he won't make some big strides on the glass and on D over the next few seasons. That's the thing though, it will take time. When Bargs was drafted, we were told that it would take him 5 years to get to the point we could judge his game. This is the fifth year so this is when the judgement was made. I'd say DD is going to be at least 4 years before he starts to get experienced enough and strong enough to make a difference on D. So Multi, if in two seasons Demar continues to disappoint start this thread again.

                              • Personally, I like Bargnani. I don't love him and I don't hate him. With that he frustrates the hell out of me just as much as he amazes me.

Unfortunately for Raptors fans, there is no true stud on the team. Everyone considered a part of the future is, as of now, only potentially a piece on a good team. If it takes moving a piece to get or draft a player that will help the team down the road, do it.

I have no doubt Bargnani can have a positive impact on a good team. The problem is it seems like it would be easier to trade him to a team with the foundation already in place than to build in Toronto.

The bottom line is the Raps are 20-53. No one is expendable.

As others have pointed out, I have a feeling (a gut feeling, so consider it an opinion) that the hold up in re-signing Colangelo is the bean counters in MLSE who do not believe they can build a winner with (or around, but I prefer with i.e. a piece) Bargnani. If word gets out BC is willing to trade him, it takes the main argument out of the sails of the MLSE anti-BC people.
