With the trade deadline looming, all the GM’s/agents in the league will be in the same city for a couple days in a row, somethings going to happen. For the Raptors, that something might center around Calderon.
If there is anyone who scares me when it comes to dealing Bosh, it’s Pat Riley. I know Colangelo wont give away Bosh, but Riley squeezed blood out of a stone on that Jermaine O’Neal deal, no telling what he could do on a Bosh one.
Dalembert vs. Bargnani – Maybe the defining matchup of the game. Sammy is going to have to really do a good job on the high pick and roll, making sure not to leave Bargnani open for threes. He also needs to dominate the glass in his limited minutes.
A 23 point lead evaporated while the arena was chanting for Reggie Evans to check back into the game; but the Raptors withstood a furious rally from the Sixers to win the last game of the ‘first’ half of the season. It was a game of runs; Toronto had two to take the lead, and Philly went on one to get back into the game. At the end, it was Bargnani who was involved on every big play down the stretch who brought it home.
I have a feeling Amir will come to Jose’s aid if KG starts yapping again. On a scale of one to Chris Brown, how upset/mad/depressed/pissed-off/violent were you feeling after the Charlotte game? After a pitiful 33-49 season, Colangelo replaced two starters, the first five guys off the bench, and 2 of the last 5 at the end of it. I listened to the Cleveland commentators the whole game (I do this often now since I find the it to be comedic gold). Some things that were said:
- WeNorth (commenting on the WeTheNorth campaign, apparently the can't read the giant letters on the giant banners in their own stadium properly) - One announcer forgot DeRozan's name, called him what's his name as he went to the free throw line - Commentators were saying the Cavs should start hard fouling Lou, "put him on his britches". More than once. - Were in disbelief when Amir hit a three
