General manager Bryan Colangelo, however, has always done something during his tenure in T.O., whether it was engineering a trade in the days leading up to the deadline or pulling the trigger that day, such as last year’s acquisition of Patrick O’Bryant in a three-team trade involving Will Solomon.
This trade is hardly worth it’s own post but since we’re all Raptors fans it’s mandatory to beat a topic, however inconsequential, to it’s ultimate death. I was at this game in Auburn Hills tonight. Couple things: Sat 5 rows off the floor next to Andre Drummond's mom and Grandma who were across the aisle from us, so the family section. Paid $120 the day tix went on sale. My point is, that's is a way cheaper way to see the Raps if you can make the drive. Second point, the palace was absolutely FULL of Northern Invaders. We drowned out any and every detroit chant, defence chant, Drummond's mom who was quite vocal. And the Detroit fans, by the end were literally like "what the fuck is going on?" Where did all this people come from. It was so amazing to take over another team's building. As though we were trying to outdo the fans who rocked the Cleveland game. And to top it all off fuckin George Clinton was the halftime show! The raps players were loving it. And when the fight nearly broke out (malice at the palace 2) it would have been complete pandemonium, cause I swear it was 50/50 ratio of Raps to Pistons fans. The Johnson dunk was over Drummond and I want the poster. Nice work to any of the Republic who were at the game. Best Raps game I've ever gone to.
